Child Care Information Services

Subsidized Child Care

Subsidized Child Care helps income eligible families pay for day care services while parents work. Eligibility for this program and an assessed copayment are based on family size and income. The actual cost of child care, up to a county ceiling rate is paid by CCIS.

You Are Eligible If You: Required Documents:
  • Reside in your county
  • Are a US Citizen or Legal Alien
  • Are employed at least 20 hours per week
  • Are promised a job to begin within 30 days
  • Are a full time high school student
  • Meet current income guidelines

**Food Stamp - TANF - Former TANF recipients may also be eligible

  • Pay Stubs (4 of the most recent 6 weeks)
  • Birth Certificates
  • Child Support
  • Proof of Address
  • Photo ID of Parents/Caretakers

Registered Dietician Consultant

The Registered Dietician will review and make any necessary corrections, and/or provide suggestions, about all menus concerning all of the centers and home based projects currently in operation by the NTCAC Head Start program.  This process takes approximately one hour per month. Certification will be documented on forms provided by NTCAC Head Start and, along with changes and suggestions shall be returned to the Head Start Nutrition Specialist within fourteen days of their submission.

The Provider, in review of menus, will note the need for variety in meal types and make necessary changes/suggestions to ensure that ethnic and cultural preferences are considered and that meals will broaden children’s food experiences.

The Provider will offer expertise and assist as needed in the development of menu plans that will meet the needs of any child that requires a special diet to meet ethnic, religious, medical, or disabilities criteria.

The Provider agrees to conduct training with Head Start staff and parents on nutrition and nutrition related topics as deemed appropriate and/or necessary.
