Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Closing Notice – 08/27/24
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is now closed in both Cameron and Elk Counties. We are no longer accepting applications. Please review other possible options for assistance in our Housing and Energy Assistance sections of this web site.
We are pleased to say that since we received the funding for these two counties in 2021, we have been able to help many families in housing crisis situations since the pandemic.
In Cameron County, we were able to assist 138 families consisting of 230 individuals with Security Deposits, Rent and in many cases with Utilities.
In Elk County, we were able to assist 629 families consisting of 1085 individuals with Security Deposits, Rent and in many cases with Utilities.
ERAP was also able to help make landlords whole again after COVID lockdowns kept working families home and unable to maintain their rental obligations.
